Where did the time go - Chapter Six

Time flew and the babies soon turned to toddlers.

Liang has my eyes and more of my features and I am not quite sure where the red frizzy hair came from.

Mo Li has more of her moms features and not so much my eyes.  They are both apples of our eyes and I am still having a hard time trying to figure out what to do.  At times like this, I really would like to talk to my dad, but I can't travel for some time yet and they cannot be contacted by phone.  I guess this is something we will have to work out.  When the girls become teenagers, it might be time for the talk.  I know deep down which one is going to be immortal, but that stays silent until the time comes.  Agnes even painted a portrait so that is out of the way.  I am level six in my sculpting, so I am able to do other sims now.

Agnes had  a birthday and turned into an adult.  She gets more lovely as she gets older.  I can't seem to stay away from her, but I have work to do, she just laughs, she thinks it is so funny.

The twins are going through the routine, potty training, learning to walk and talk.  They play together and seem to have a bond.  They say twins are like that.  For now, everything is normal and we are a happy family.  I love them with all of my heart.

The New Arrivals - Chapter Five

Agnes was getting bigger and we took a break and watched some tv.  Something we had not done since we got settled.  We were both getting use to the fact we were going to be parents and couldn't wait.  I was so excited about the baby I kept feeling Agnes's belly to make sure it was not a dream.

We got the baby's room fixed up and it turned out really nice.  I even did a painting and hung it the room, kinda rough, but it was cute for a baby's room.

We had just finished dinner and Agnes was in our room reading and I was cleaning the bathroom, when I heard this terrible scream.  Agnes was in labor and yelling, lets go to the hospital.  Where I was raised, our people had their children at home, but I don't think Agnes thought to kindly of it.

I was freaking out, because I had never witnessed anything like this and I don't think Agnes  liked the pain thing to well.  After what seemed like eternity, our little bundle of joy arrived.  I again did a freak dance, because it was twin girls.  My father didn't tell me there would be days like this and sure didn't warn me about twins.  Now what.  Well, I didn't have time to worry about that now, mother and babies were doing fine.  One little angels name is Liang, which means, good, excellent in Chinese and the other angels name is Mo Li, which means, Chinese lotus flower.  They are two precious little bundles of joy and I know they are going to be handfuls to reckon with.

We snuggled and played with the girls for a while, then decided to put them in their cribs, which we had to hurry up and get another crib, because two little ones was not expected and had to rearrange some things.  Then I looked into Agnes eyes and fell in love with my dear wife all over again and told her how proud I was of her and looked forward to teaching our little ones as much as possible.

Then a thought hit me, what am I going to do about the Dynasty and how in the world am I going to choose which of my babies are going to be immortal, then I just remembered something in my fathers letter, firstborn, so I guess that would mean twins too, which would be Liang.  This is something that is going to haunt me for a long time and worse yet, how do you explain that to your daughters.  This is not going to be easy.

Settling In -Chapter Two

With the sale of Agnes's car and the money she brought with her, we were able to build a pretty decent house with some money left over to live on for a bit.

We wanted it big, because we both wanted a big family.  I am not sure how big, because Agnes is kind of a loner, so not sure how many she is going to want.  After we settled in, I finally popped the question and Agnes was thrilled.

After the excitement had died down, we were getting use to each other and I was head over heals in love with Agnes and each day we were becoming closer and closer, until something happened that might change that or make it stronger.

The Big News - Chapter Four

I saw Agnes run towards the bathroom and I followed her because I was worried.  She was violently ill and I really got scared.  I asked her if she wanted to lie down and she said no she was fine now.  I kept my eye on her the rest of the night and I think it made her nervous.  She got up to go get something to eat, when she got a strange look on her face.

She put her hands on her tummy and told me she felt life and I jumped for joy, I was so happy that I was going to be a dad.  I had thought about this ever since I met Agnes.  She was going to be a wonderful mother and I would be there every step of the way.  I wanted so much for our baby.  I had to let Agnes know how I felt.

So I looked into her beautiful eyes and told her she meant everything to me and I would make sure our family would always be happy and always be full of love.  She kissed me and said everything would be fine and she would stand behind me in our endeavers into achieving the perfect Ming Dynasty.

The Letter - Chapter Three

Just as things were going really good, I got the letter.  It was from China and it was from my dad.  I hadn't talked to them since I left, so how did they know where I lived.  I read the letter and I thought that I was going to be ill.  It explained about the family heritage that I was part of, how generations of our family are deemed immortal.  It also explained that I was to be the immortal one and my child  and their children and so on.  This is not going to be so pleasant to spring on a new wife.  I was going to have to be very careful on how to approach Agnes, she could get grumpy at times.

It was not going well.  Agnes was not taking the news too well, but who could blame her.  I was still in shock.  She accused me of setting her up and not paying attention to the fact that I just found out and I even showed her the letter.

She was too angry for me to reason with.  We went at it for what seemed like hours.  She finally calmed down and then it hit her, she told me that if there ever was going to be two people that deserved immortality, it was going to be myself and our firstborn.

And then she got this sad look on her fact and I ask her "what is wrong".  She said "she never wanted to live without me".  I loved her more right at this moment than ever.

We really started making plans then, about how she would paint my portrait as a young adult and hopefully an elder because she already knew how to paint.  I figured I would go ahead and take up sculpting and gardening for ice sculptures and ambrosia so future immortals could be free for the other skills.  Actually, I was getting so excited about all of these new events in my life.  Now it just seemed like something was missing and then all of a sudden, Agnes ran from the room.

Around Town - Chapter One

After purchasing my new lot, I decided to check out the town, after all, I came from a small village and this is all new to me.  I found what they call a library and decided to do some things on the computer.  I did at least have one of those.  I am learning alot by looking on this computer.

After staying at the library, which seemed like for hours, I decided to go to the park and see what or who I could find.  I met this lady there and she was real nice.  I think her name was Nancy, so we talked for awhile and I found out she was married and had a big house.  Wow, all I have is a crummy lot to go home to, but that will change one day.

I found out there was a place called a junk yard, where you can go to get damaged furniture, so I hopped
into a taxi and told him to take me there.  I guess I was really lucky and found this big TV set, a chair and a couch.  I was getting ready to leave and was in the office when I saw a beautiful lady.  I started talking to her and found that her name was Agnes.  We started talking and wow, we hit it off.  I had never had a girlfriend or even a girl for a friend.  My parent would never had allowed it until I was older, but how old am I suppose to be.  I think she was flirting with me, so I tried to come up with something to say, but I was not very experienced in this field.

We seemed to hit it off pretty well, but I was extremely tired and hungry and decided to go to this place call a Firestation to eat and sleep.  We said our goodbyes and she even held my hands and told me to call her.  I thought, yep, I will do that.  I left and went to the Firestation and ate, watched TV and finally dropped into one of the beds and slept like a rock.  The next morning I went back to my lot and called the repairman to fix my items that I had gotten at the junkyard.  I decided while I waited, I would call Agnes, she was home and said she would be right over.  That is just great, no place to sit yet  and I can't even offer her something to drink or eat, she will probably think I am an idiot.  I saw her drive up and went to greet her, she started flirting with me right off, so we talked some more and a thought hit me, ask her to move in.  I had to laugh at myself and think, offer her what.  I went ahead and asked her and she said yes.  I didn't know what to do, I thought she would say no.  She offered me money and she said for me to sell her car and we would build us a house that our Dynasty could be proud of.
